Joomla is a free and open-source content management framework (CMF) for
publishing web content. It is built on a model–view–controller web application framework that can be
used independently of the CMS.
Joomla is
written in PHP, uses object-oriented programming (OOP)
techniques (since version 1.5) and software design patterns stores data in a MySQL, MS SQL (since
version 2.5), or PostgreSQL (since version 3.0) database and includes
features such as page caching, RSS feeds, printable versions of pages, news
flashes, blogs, polls,
search, and support for language internationalization.

ජූම්ලා (Joomla) කියන්නේ
දත්ත සමුදාය පද්ධතියක්. මූලික වශයෙන් ජූම්ලා යනු CMS (content management system) එකකි. ප්‍රසිද්ධ Wordpress, Drupal වැනි පහසුවෙන් වෙබ් පිටු සාදා ගැනීමට හැකි
මෘදුකාංගයක්.

භාවිතා කරන්න විශේෂ තාක්ෂණික දැනුමක්
අවශ්‍ය නොවීමයි. ජූම්ලා 1.0 සංස්කරණ මලාවේ 1.0
ට පසුව ආව අලුත්ම විශේෂාංග
රාශීයක් එක්ක වර්තමානයේ බහුලව භාවිතා කරන්නේ ජූම්ලා 1.5
සංස්කරණය. නමුත් 1.7 සංස්කරණයද
දැනට භාවිතයේ ඇත.
